In order to recover from Andriev's death, Pascualina shelters herself in a medieval castle in the middle of the German Black Forest where a course on Medieval Enlightenment is given. A subject she had always wanted to learn and that is also useful to heal her state of sadness. Surrounded by forest and exuberant nature Pascualina is beginning to start the slow process to forget Andriev. To her astonishment, she starts not only to constantly dream of him but a series of unexplainable incidents prevent her from forgetting Andriev's memories. Libia, a mysterious quiet girl who lives in the castle is especially intriguing and does not cease in her efforts of not letting Pascualina forget Andriev. Pascualina is determined to forget Andriev but little by little she is being guided by bizarre events to the encounter of new characters. She never thought Andriev was miles away in a serious coma in a hospital. From the world of dreams Andriev tries to make contact with Pascualina and prevent her from forgetting him.
Pascualina's heart has grown up and understands it is not easy to be the girlfriend of a policeman and that their love must be supported by trust.
Tosha´s mother has died and Pascualina accompany her to attend the funeral in Sophia. Andriev arrives from Moscow. Their always intimate and deep conversations reveal a certain degree of concern on Andriev. While Pascualina is waiting for the train to get back to Amsterdam she meets Danitza, a shy but warm girl and decides to travel with Danitza and her mother on the same coach to have some company. Not long after crossing Russian territory the train is derailed by an explosion. Pascualina accepts to stay with Danitza's family in a Cozac farm. The situation turns more and more mysterious as Pascualina is continuously controlled and prevented from any contact with her family. She does not know, but she is witness of the preparations to kidnap the daughter of the Russian millionaire. Before Pascualina learns about the plans, she is rescued by Andriev and together travel back to San Petersburg and at the same time the girl is kidnapped. Andriev is intentionally made prisoner in order to protect the girl and together are taken to a deserted building. Even though he manages to free the girl, the confusion caused within the group of kidnappers put the building on fire and it explodes. Andriev's death is assumed.
Pascualina's feelings are deep and it is hard for her to forget the intimacy of her conversations with Andriev. Pascualina knows she is the reason why Andriev has changed his hostile and suspicious attitude towards a more positive and generous view of life. It is true she has asked him not to contact her ever again and that her father does not agree a relationship between them. Pascualina is a teenager and Andriev is part of a world of mysteries and intrigues.
During a trip to Bulgaria, she decides to stop in Moscow just for the sake of remembering him. To her surprise, Andriev is at the train station and together they spend the day walking the city. The next day he has to start a new mission where he has to solve the illegal sale of wolves' skins in Kihi and invites Pascualina to join him. Pascualina and Andriev know this is their last chance they have to decide for the love they feel for each other. Pascualina decides for love and informs her father about her decision. She knows she has acted against her father's will but she prefers to be honest and tries to persuade her father about Andriev's good nature. Pascualina helps Andriev to meet his mother again and unveil his father's true identity. Knowing the origins of Andriev's family reassured Pascualina's family. At last, Pascualina and Andriev were officially in a relationship.
